Alecia

Primary instructor Alecia May began her music and dance training at an early age with training in piano, hip hop, ballet and jazz. Her love of dance is far reaching, as she also studies Latin and Hula dance forms.

She began her Middle Eastern dance training in 2000. Since then, she has been studying and performing Egyptian style bellydance with teachings from Hadia, Jillina, Suhaila Salimpour, Sonia, Veena & Neena, Sadie, Orit Maftsir, Suzanna Del Vecchio, Dahlia and most recently The Bellydance Superstars. Background studies in fitness and personal training allow Alecia an informed perspective on the anatomy of movement, around which she designs her teaching of technique. Her nomination for the Women of Distinction Awards in 2005 has truly shown that she continues to empower women through the art of dance, spirit and expression.

Her special rapport with her audience keeps her in high demand. Her tasteful, enthusiastic style brings something special to any occasion. She performs in venues from weddings to conventions, intimate parties to large gatherings. Her career has been tracked through festivals such as the Niagara Food Festival, media coverage on T.V shows such as CH @ Home, Steele’s Town, in newspapers like the Hamilton Spectator and Business Link Hamilton and in charity events such as Light up a Life Charity Ball and the Hamilton Children's Festival.

Lori Lynn Lori Lynn discovered her passion for hoop dancing in Florida of 2005. With years of training in gymnastics and karate, she has lived and traveled all over the world. Her previous dance experience in jazz, latin, bellydance and pole dancing has helped her create a free flowing style of hoopdance for which she is well-known as Hoop Appeal. Cindy began studying dance in April 2007 at Luscious Belly Studios. Having experimented with many different forms of exercise, she found that the combination of cardio, dance and choreography motivated her to not only stay in shape, but also continue dancing. Cindy
